Anne Griffiths
Anne Griffiths is a Canadian painter based in Victoria, British Columbia, celebrated for her contemporary interpretations of the Canadian landscape. Her practice moves fluidly between abstraction and representation, using gestural linework and a vibrant, expressive colour palette to evoke the emotional resonance of place and memory. Drawing inspiration from natural environments, shifting weather patterns, and the fleeting sensations of time spent in the landscape, Griffiths captures the poetic tension between permanence and impermanence in nature.
Griffiths holds a painting degree from Emily Carr University of Art and Design and earned a diploma in design and illustration from Capilano University's IDEA Program in 1986. Her paintings are also prominently displayed at the popular restaurant inside Walmer Castle in London, UK.
